@sugar damn, I think I did that for a while.
Though very quickly built a smaöö catalogue of pages I usually went to.
Without noticing, I witnessed the end of an era.

@sugar I loved “surfing the web”, but these days most sites don’t link out, only internally, which breaks the experience.

Not even taking into account that everyone publishes/share-crops on other peoples servers these days.

@Finner And this is why I don't have comments on my "blog", I broke my #mastodon alternative so you can't reach me at all now, unless you do one more thing. Its just enough friction to stop all but the most insistent trolls.

@sugar I remember when the internet was new and wondrous and used to type things in like or just to see what would show up

@sugar So true. I used to scoff at the threat of the internet being turned into cable TV. But essentially, that is what has happened.
